Why a thermometer matters

Cooking time is only an estimate. Ingredient size, starting temperature, cooker performance, and other conditions can change when food is actually done. An instant-read thermometer provides a direct measurement instead of relying only on appearance or the clock.

What stood out in our test

The strongest advantage was ease of use. A quick response means less time holding the cooker open, and the large display makes the result easier to read without squinting or repositioning the thermometer repeatedly.

We also found the readings accurate during our use. Because we tested rather than owned this model long-term, we are not making claims about extended durability or battery life.
